The expedition's excavation forms the final magnificent proof of that these great animals went so far to the west as Kiruna when the perma-frost had the land in its grip.

About the search for the Swedish mammoth.

During our hunt for the origin of the arctic species we had first looked in barren Sibiria, but as Russia now is thawing up we have drawn south in our search, to places where the perma-frost still is holding its grip. Thourough research resulted in the discovery of the probable existence of a well preserved specimen of "Mammutus primerus Arcticus" : The Norrlandian Curly Mammoth at The Square of the Cupola in Kiruna. With this archeological expedition we hope to bring out a specimen, and thereby to add another piece to the enigma of the Human kind and the thrilling history of Nordkalotten.
