present world record for sailing backwards in open sea |

The record was broken on June
11th 1995 on The Baltic sea between the Remmaren lighthouse
in Sweden and Eckerö, Åland. The record voyage took 10
hours and 3 minutes. The record is registered in the
Guiness Book of Records under "feats and
achievements/backwards". The boat used was an
Arabesq 24 "Raggamuffin" on board: Stefan Sjöström & Mikael Richter. |
