The present world record for sailing backwards in open sea

The record was broken on June 11th 1995 on The Baltic sea between the Remmaren lighthouse in Sweden and Eckerö, Åland. The record voyage took 10 hours and 3 minutes. The record is registered in the Guiness Book of Records under "feats and achievements/backwards". The boat used was an Arabesq 24 "Raggamuffin"
